Favorite Music Monday

I need your help! The hardest part of teaching Spin for me is deciding on what music to play. I ask my class all the time to give me suggestions but only one or two people ever do. So, I'm out-sourcing the music selections. Please reply in the comment section and give me 1) your favorite work-out songs of all time and 2) your latest favorite two or three songs. They don't have to be work-out songs, just whatever you are digging right now. After I collect some "Best-Of" songs from you guys, I'll put a play list together and post it. I might even try to figure out how to put the tracks on here so you can download the play list from this site. I'll have to seek one of my blog-xperts on this one though. Thanks for helping out. I can't wait to see what songs you like.

  1. This one is very easy for me. I'm a little white girl on the outside but very soulful on the inside. I always seem to venture towards R & B, Hip/Hop, Old Skool Motown etc. I guess my absolute favorites always consist of Groove Armada, a mashup, & a really good remix. If you need specific tracks, I can do that too.

  2. Thanks for stopping by Shannon. That is probably my favorite genre as well but I've een mixing it up lately. Especially after visiting Pedal-On and Innercycling and seeing what those guys listen to. I can deal with some but alot of it is just not for me. Some of it has to do with location. My class wants hip hop and R&B. I have been abloe to introduce some tribal and electronic style music in there. I just need more suggestions. Thanks for visiting and BTW, your Blog Rocks!

  3. I can pretty much groove to anything during a workout...except techo and intense cryin', lovin', leavin' stuff. Anything from the 80's era brings back great memories and makes for an excellent glass...but your class is "most excellent" anyway Daddy-O! kj

  6. I think you pick pretty good music for your class. I'm sure its hard trying to find something everyone likes. I like contemporary R&B and hip hop music, stuff that makes you want to work harder. 80's are also a lot of fun!! I know these aren't specifics, but just a general idea.
